Draper Tools has an extensive history in the UK where it started out in 1919. At that time, the owner Bert Draper sold government surplus and tools throughout the Kingston Upon Thames’ markets. Over several decades and changes in hand throughout the generations of the Draper family, it is now run by Bert’s grandson, John Draper. His company now boasts the largest plant and the largest supply of a variety of tools southwest of London in the UK. It has won awards for its comprehensive website for ordering and shipping tools to any part of the world.
Most recently in February 2007 Car Mechanics awarded the Draper Battery Charger and Tester to be the Best Buy of the Year. Its hefty 8 Amp charging current ensures speedy performance in assisting a car battery to be charged.
Another example is the Draper SDS which is a hammer drill which can bang off a hunk of cement. Draper makes tools which can take the abuse and hard work of construction. Draper is very concerned with the ecological and social welfare of all countries. Draper Tools has every right to feel proud of its mammoth plant and the myriad of services it offers in the UK. It should be most proud of being a UK founded company which has grown to world wide recognition.
