Makita Tools is a world renowned power tool and equipment supplier which originated in Japan. The power tools it provides range from saws to drills which are made for consumer to industrial usage.
They have since grown worldwide to other markets and have won many accolades. Makita has been in business for over 90 years and it reigns high in the motorised and cordless tool division. Its design is lightweight, made of the best material and is meant for rough commercial usage. Makita has put all of its tools under the most rigorous testing and it still stands highest in the most reliable power tools available in the world.
Several awards have been earned by this company. Most recently, in 2008, Popular Mechanics put the 18V Lithium-Ion cordless driver-drills and hammer drills from various other manufacturers through a battery of tests. Makita BHP 454 beat them all hands down. Many other mechanical power tool tests have also shown that Makita is the best in show for its range of products.
At the UK branch, Makita tools are being used to assist with the total refurbishment of the Flying Scotsman at the National Railway Museum in York. A team is working with the tools to bring back the Flying Scotsman engine out of de-commission and into working condition so that it can fly the British rails once again. The work should be completed by the summer of 2009. This surely goes to prove that Makita tools are so well thought of to be used in this most prestigious project.
